Course Summary

The Commercial Pilot License (CPL) allows the holder to fly for hire or reward in a Canadian Commercial Air Service. This opens the door to a career as a commercial pilot, as you work your way towards becoming an airline pilot, charter pilot, medevac pilot, pipeline surveying pilot or forest fire suppression pilot, among many other flying positions.

To hold this license a person must have reached 18 years of age, obtain a Private Pilot License (PPL) and hold a Category 1 medical certificate.

 

Ground School & Flight Training

  • Aircraft: Cessna 172, ALSIM Flight Training Device
  • Ground School 200 HOURS: $1000.00
  • Books and Study Material: $ 500.00
  • 42.2 hours dual instruction on C172: @ $320.00 / hour ($13,504.00)
  • 31 hours solo flight time: $210.00 / hour ($6510.00)
  • 8 hours on ALSIM Flight Training Device ($1440.00)
  • 70 Hours Solo Building as Pilot in Command and/or Cross country flying @$210.00 / hour ($14700.00)
